All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies and toddlers are always welcome at our meetings. The East Lansing group meets on the northeast side of Lansing, just west of Frandor/127 off Chester Rd.

Meeting Information

Series Meetings meet the first Wednesday of each month at 7 pm.

Meetings are located at the First Christian Church, located at 1001 Chester Road in Lansing. Map

LLL Membership PDF Print E-mail

La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization, dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed. Meetings are free and open to the public, membership is not required but many mothers want to receive extra benefits and do join.

Membership in La Leche League International is $25 for one year. All membership fees support your local Group. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to the digital edition of NEW BEGINNINGS magazine, the only magazine devoted to breastfeeding families, and a discount on items purchased from LLLI.org including a line of specialty nursing bras, camis and books on breastfeeding for mothers (and children!)

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.

It's almost time for our 2010 Mid Michigan Breastfeeding Walk! This year, we'll have a fitness walk focus, a a swanky bake sale, mom and baby gear vendors and a barbecue featuring yummy and healthy fare.

Mid Michigan Breastfeeding Walk Sept 20th, 2009 PDF Print E-mail

Thanks moms, thanks vendors, and thanks sponsors! The first walk was a success, with many new moms to LLL coming for the first time. We will post the results (funds raised, walkers counted) when we tally the total.

The weather was gorgeous, the company was fun and it was great to be at an event where everyone was nursing!

La Leche League of East Lansing, together with La Leche League Lansing Delta-Waverly hosted the 2009 Mid-Michigan Breastfeedng Walk at Hawk Island Park in Lansing on September 20, 2009, 12-4pm.

We raise money for LLL activities including pump rental scholarships for working mothers who need it, for books and DVDs to help mothers learn to breastfeed and stay breastfeeding successfully.

The walk was on Hawk Island's 1.5 mile paved trail (strollers welcome), and featured refreshments, a nursing fashion show, hands-on babywearing demonstrations, activities for toddlers and older children and the company of mothers of cute babies and kids from all across mid-Michigan!

Ideal for new or expectant mothers looking for information on nursing successfully (and in style), for moms looking for breastfeeding support, or moms looking to connect with other mothers in the Mid-Michigan area!
